The job
1. Support:
1. Answer Product queries
2. Product quotations, invoices
3. Stock counts
4. Accounting records, cashbook, debtors, bank reconciliations
5. PA including tasks such as:
1. Take messages
2. Go to post office
3. Go to bank
4. Personal errands
5. Await courier
6. Deliver goods to customers, pick up goods from customers
7. Purchases for the office
8. Keep office tidy and clean: coordinate char services and wash crockery
9. Filing up to date
2. Manufacture jewellery
3. New business:
1. See other clients for new business
2. Cold calling
3. Make wholesale bookings for Carla
4. Sell directly to the public at retail office including Saturday mornings
5. Innovative ideas for new business
Profile of potential employee
Age: 40 plus
Sex: Female
Education: English and Afrikaans, Accounting training or experience, preferable some form of formal post matriculation training.
Presentation: Fashionable, well presented, well mannered
Current Residential address: within 50 km of Tyger Quays
Area growing up: Not from Southern Suburbs
Working experience: Yes, sales experience preferable
Technical skills: business sense, practical skills for jewellery making, accounting skills, computer literate, excel, word, power point
Psychometric profile: Must be able to sell, like people, person not seeking other opportunities in the short term, happy to try something new and make it work.
Family: Must have had kids already, not wanting more
The pay:
R 8k per month cost to company + bonuses to be negotiated based on performance of the business.
Bonuses will be negotiated in advance per specific guidelines and rules and will accrue monthly and quarterly. If a bonus is due, the payments will also take place on a monthly and quarterly basis.
When travelling is required by the employee for business, a rate per kilometre will be payable.
